So I work with crazy old men.

This happened. NSFW language ahead.

Pictured: I see about three dozen of these getting leather upgrades every week.

So one of the old men, a Venezuelan guy named Pedro, was asking about wearing shorts because summer is coming soon.

The operations manager replied, "Sure, but no short shorts."
I added, "Just as long as your balls aren't hanging out of the bottom you'll be alright."

He asked, in his South American accent, "Well, what about the dick? Because I got a monster!"

He's becoming one of my favorite crazy old men.

Random true story time: I like to go to my local water park in the summer, inspite of, or maybe because of its total white trashedness. Also, for some reason a ton of the teenage/20 something lifegaurds are eastern european...no idea why. So anyway, we like to make people oncomfortable as a joke so my and my cousin are wearing some nice euro style square speedos that are just...in the worst kind of taste. As we approach the top of one of the slides a kid in a heavy Slovak accent says "are you guys from Europe?" we look at each other. "cause of your swim trunks, are you from Europe?"

We answered in whatever terrible accent we could conjure "YA, Ve from Europe."

then he says "OH, they make us were these trunks. They are the sucks!"

Good times.

so my lady friend enjoys the undergarments from american apparel. and i'm more than happy to purchase such intimate wear.

for the love of god what some of the guys who work there consider appropriate "shorts." i'm no prude, but i swear i was seeing brains hanging out there.

by the way... what's a "leather upgrade?"

The guys in the shop cut the cloth off of the factory foam and seat frames and install Roadwire leather interior. I work for the installation-branch arm, called Classic Soft Trim.

whats the typical cost of replacing leather? i'm sure there's a range... but have any ballparks?

At our shop, retail prices are $749 for a base, single-row, undecorated factory match kit.

$899 for a two-row, and $1199 for a three row.

Two tone is $50 extra for one or two rows, $75 for three

Contrast stitch is $25 for one and two rows, $40 for three

Perforation is $50 for one and two rows, $75 for three.

Embroidery is $25 per panel.

So it can get pricey if you want it, but we do the vast majority of our work for dealers because it's a lot easier to swallow $1000 for leather than $3500 for the next model up.
